What You Bring
Gensler’s Education Practice is seeking a senior leader who can provide thought leadership, maintain outstanding client relationships, drive project leadership, and communicate persuasively. Working collaboratively with other Gensler leaders, the role will leverage firm capabilities to lead education projects and expand the practice. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Design and brings 15+ years of relevant experience, including managing an architectural firm, regional office, or practice group. Experience in project directing, management, and team leadership is required, along with a visible industry presence through memberships, publications, or conference speaking. Applicants must submit a current portfolio or work samples in PDF format. This in‑person position is based in Houston, Texas, though non‑local candidates are welcome and relocation is encouraged. Houston is ranked among the top 10 best big cities to live in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Design with 15+ years of relevant experience. • Proven experience managing an architectural firm, regional office, or practice group. • Demonstrated project directing, management, and team leadership abilities. • Recognized industry presence through memberships, publications, or conference speaking. • Strong client network and market knowledge in Texas. • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills; detail‑oriented multitasker. • In‑person role based in Houston, Texas (relocation welcomed).
