About the Role
The Director of Global IT Asset Management will shape and govern our worldwide ITAM program, covering hardware, software, cloud and SaaS assets. Based in Houston, TX, the role balances global standards with regional execution, ensuring asset lifecycle visibility, cost optimization and regulatory compliance across all business units. • Define and execute a global ITAM strategy for hardware, software, cloud, and SaaS assets. • Establish worldwide ITAM, HAM, SAM, and CMDB policies, standards, and controls with adaptable regional models. • Lead global hardware lifecycle management and ensure standardized tracking from procurement to retirement. • Maintain compliance with data protection, software licensing, and environmental regulations across regions. • Oversee global software and SaaS license management, audit response, and vendor negotiations. • Drive enterprise‑wide cost optimization through license rationalization, contract leverage, and usage analytics. • Own the global CMDB strategy, architecture, data standards, and ensure accurate near‑real‑time configuration data. • Partner with Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Security to align budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. • Reduce financial, operational, and regulatory risk and ensure audit readiness across all regions. • Provide executive ownership of ITAM tools, processes, and data quality. • Change leadership in complex, matrixed organizations.

What You Bring
• 12+ years of IT Asset Management experience in global or multinational environments. • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience with deep expertise in HAM, SAM, and CMDB at enterprise scale. • Proven collaboration with Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Security organizations. • Preferred: 5+ years leading distributed cross‑cultural teams; ITIL, IAITAM, ISO/IEC 19770 certifications; experience with global vendor audits and cloud/SaaS asset management; knowledge of regional regulatory requirements. • Global mindset with strong governance discipline. • Executive communication across cultures and regions. • Data governance and operational excellence. • Vendor and financial optimization at global scale.
