About the Role
The role is responsible for driving subcontract execution, integrating multiple functional teams, leading supplier negotiations, measuring and improving supplier performance, mentoring staff, and implementing efficiency initiatives that sustain key performance indicators. • Drive subcontract execution covering cost, schedule, technical, and quality performance. • Integrate Subcontracts, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Planning teams. • Serve as primary liaison between subcontractors and project management. • Oversee full procurement cycle and coordinate technical teams with suppliers. • Resolve critical, time‑sensitive issues such as proposal evaluations and contract modifications. • Lead supplier negotiations on cost, terms, and long‑term agreements. • Develop sourcing strategies and supplier scorecards. • Measure, manage, and improve supplier performance; initiate corrective actions. • Conduct market research to sustain a world‑class procurement environment. • Perform ad‑hoc analysis for senior leadership. • Mentor and manage the Subcontracts Team, including performance appraisals and development plans. • Implement initiatives to improve efficiency and maintain KPIs. • Negotiated Master Service Agreements and complex subcontract agreements ($25‑$50M). • Managed 25+ supply‑chain personnel and subcontract administrators.

What You Bring
KBR seeks a highly motivated Sr. Manager, Subcontracts to lead a Subcontracts Team, oversee the full range of subcontract administration and management activities, and ensure seamless integration of subcontract work with program cost, schedule, technical, and quality objectives. Basic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), 20+ years of subcontract management experience with at least 8‑10 years in a leadership role, deep knowledge of FAR/DFAR, experience with DCMA audits, and a proven record of negotiating high‑value subcontract agreements and managing large supply‑chain teams. Preferred qualifications emphasize prior government contractor experience, management of international customer and supplier relationships, proficiency in developing internal metrics, and strong leadership and process‑improvement capabilities. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. • 20+ years subcontract management experience; 8‑10 years in leadership. • Strong knowledge of FAR and DFAR; DCMA audit experience preferred. • Expertise in cost and price analysis. • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. • U.S. citizenship and background check required. • Prior government contractor or KBR Government Solutions experience desirable. • Experience managing international customer/supplier relationships. • Proficiency in developing and tracking internal metrics. • Ability to lead diverse teams and drive process improvements.
