About the Role

The Air Handling Unit Application Engineer serves as a recognized subject‑matter expert and authority within the business unit or site, providing a full range of commercial and technical field support for both custom and standard air handling units. This role requires minimal supervision while delivering expert guidance on design, application, and feasibility studies. • Provide commercial, competitive, and technical application support for custom and standard AHUs to the field sales organization. • Collaborate with a small technical team to resolve AHU project requests, emphasizing basis of design. • Deliver application training and project management for air handling systems to the sales organization. • Support customer factory tours and assist Airside Technical Service with field application issues. • Participate in testing and development of AHU selection and pricing software with marketing. • Coordinate with sales, manufacturing, engineering, and customer service to resolve AHU order issues. • Develop cost‑effective solutions and recommend value‑engineered alternatives for unique AHU applications. • Create technical documentation and provide guidance to engineers, drafters, and technicians. • Conduct feasibility studies, system analyses, and apply complex problem‑solving techniques to new applications. • Prepare, review, and release documentation for custom and standard AHU products.

What You Bring

• Hold a BS degree in engineering (ABET accredited) or a related scientific field. • Possess a minimum of two years of relevant experience. • Understand business principles relevant to the business unit.
