About the Role
• Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized overhead distribution systems safely. • String overhead wire, set poles and anchors, and install transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. • Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems, replace fuses, and clear faulted circuits. • Operate high‑voltage equipment, use load busters, and conduct voltage checks on transformers. • Install and hook up single‑phase transformers, set poles, and work at heights or confined spaces while using appropriate PPE. • Conduct pre‑job/tailgate briefings, reconductoring, and safe installation/removal of mechanical jumpers. • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition. • Must follow all company safety rules and policies.

What You Bring
The Class B Lineman – Overhead is a semi‑skilled position responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing electrical overhead distribution systems. Work is performed at various sites and may require travel to other states based on customer demand. The role demands regular standing, walking, climbing, and handling of tools, with frequent exposure to high‑voltage lines, fumes, vibration, and loud noise. Employees must work outdoors in all weather conditions and be prepared for inclement weather. Successful candidates are self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and customer‑focused, and must adhere to all safety rules and company policies. • Minimum 5 years recent field experience with overhead distribution. • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. • Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days; CDL preferred. • Willingness to travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods in varied locations. • Capable of lifting over 50 lbs and inspecting rubber goods and PPE.
