About the Role

The HR Compliance Specialist supports a range of HR initiatives, including EEO plans, federal reporting, regulatory audits, and policy implementation in line with federal, state and local law. The role involves researching legal changes, preparing EEO and Veteran reports, conducting audits, coordinating with the EEO Officer, supporting immigration documentation, managing vendor relationships for training and compliance, handling background‑check inquiries, updating the Employee Handbook, partnering with HR Operations, participating in subcommittees, and maintaining data in UKG Pro. • Research and monitor federal, state, and local employment laws and train regional HR teams. • Prepare and submit EEO, Veteran, and other regulatory reports. • Conduct regular audits of employment disclosures and notices throughout the employee lifecycle. • Coordinate with the EEO Officer to complete contract and client reporting requirements. • Support immigration documentation by consulting with an external immigration law firm. • Manage vendor relationships for anti‑harassment training, background checks, drug screens, labor‑law posters, and compliance software. • Address background‑check and drug‑screen inquiries and assist with employee‑relations adjudications as needed. • Publish bi‑annual updates and revisions to the Employee Handbook. • Partner with HR Operations to ensure consistent and compliant HR policies and procedures. • Participate in subcommittees to review and implement process improvements. • Maintain data in UKG Pro and generate reports for marketing and other teams.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has strong auditing, project management and analytical skills, can manage multiple priorities independently, and pays close attention to detail. Required are a bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, at least five years of relevant HR experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and solid communication, collaboration and confidentiality handling abilities. Experience with HR regulatory compliance, federal and state reporting for contractors, and project implementation is preferred. • Strong auditing and assessment skills for HR programs. • Excellent project management, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities. • Ability to handle multiple priorities and complex issues independently. • High attention to detail and strong collaboration skills. • Experience handling confidential information appropriately. • Effective communication, presentation, training, and facilitation skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience. • Experience with HR regulatory compliance and emerging legislation. • Experience managing federal and state reporting for federal contractors (preferred).
