About the Role

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads a team of service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, supports the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for complex problems, and manages projects while training and mentoring service and contract technicians. In this role you will promote a safe work environment, maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures, install and service relay logic, ladder diagrams, sensors, motor starters, and other control components, and create and close work orders with detailed labor, equipment, and parts data while maintaining positive relationships across the facility. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage maintenance projects. • Train, mentor, and develop work plans for service and contract technicians. • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot conveyor systems, and audit maintenance procedures. • Install and maintain control components such as relay logic, ladder diagrams, sensors, and motor starters. • Create and close work orders with detailed labor, equipment, and parts data. • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety procedures.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of preventative maintenance experience, and the ability to read blueprints and manage work orders. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays, is required. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields, five or more years with automated conveyors, leadership experience, vendor management, robotic maintenance, and proficiency with a Computerized Maintenance Management System. The position involves repetitive physical activities such as bending, crouching, lifting items up to 49 lb, and standing on concrete for long shifts, as well as working in confined spaces, varying temperatures, and at heights. Travel up to 20 % of the time may be required. • Travel up to 20 % and work shifts up to 12 hours, lifting up to 49 lb. • Required: High school diploma, 3+ years preventative maintenance, blueprint reading, work order management. • Preferred: Associate degree in mechanical/electrical, 5+ years automated conveyor experience, leadership, vendor management, robotic maintenance, CMMS proficiency. • Physical demands include repetitive bending, standing on concrete for >10‑hour shifts, and maneuvering bulky equipment.
