About the Role
The Community Manager oversees all aspects of a housing community’s operations under the Regional Manager, handling personnel, leasing, maintenance, financials, administration, and risk management while ensuring compliance with Asset Living policies, safety standards, and fair‑housing regulations. • Hire, train, coach, and schedule on‑site staff while addressing performance issues. • Develop and manage annual operating budgets, monitor rent collection, and reconcile vendor invoices. • Create yearly marketing plans; lead leasing activities, resident complaint resolution, and retention programs. • Ensure accurate administrative and leasing reports; oversee emergency response and maintenance request turnaround. • Conduct regular property inspections, manage repairs, and coordinate vendor bids to maintain appearance and quality.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least two years of experience with affordable‑housing programs (e.g., LIHTC, HUD Section 8, USDA Rural Development) and may hold relevant accreditations; a high‑school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree or Certified Apartment Manager/Accredited Resident Manager preferred, along with basic computer and Fair Housing/OSHA knowledge. • Minimum 2 years experience with affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, HUD Section 8, USDA Rural Development. • Preferred certifications include HCCP, HCP‑E, COS, BOS, TCS, CPO, CAM, or ARM. • Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements. • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and perform occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
