Business Development Manager - EPC Segment
Develops APAC EPC re‑export pipeline for Grid Automation solutions.

About the Role
The manager will own market definition, segmentation and prospecting for the APAC Re‑export segment, identifying opportunities for Automation & Communication and Enterprise Software Solutions. The role involves building relationships with EPCs, expanding the pipeline, localising technical proposals and representing Hitachi Energy in front‑end and channel meetings. Collaboration with regional stakeholders, the Global Product Group and front‑end sales teams is essential to track opportunities and ensure regulatory compliance. • Define market segmentation and prospecting plan for APAC Re‑export segment. • Identify key opportunities and manage stakeholders within target EPCs. • Grow pipeline and orders by localizing proposals and attending sales/channel meetings. • Lead or support initiatives to track GA product opportunities and interpret regulatory requirements. • Coordinate internal regional stakeholders and the Global Product Group. • Collaborate with Front‑End‑Sales team and global business developers. • Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.

What You Bring
Candidates should have qualifications in software engineering and international trade, plus more than 20 years of solution‑sale and government‑relations experience. Preference is given to those with EPC experience in China or Korea, strong channel development, contract negotiation and cross‑collaboration capabilities, and fluency in English and Chinese. Frequent international travel and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders are required. • Hold qualifications in Software Engineering and International Trade or equivalent. • Over 20 years of experience in system and government relations management and solution sales. • Demonstrated EPC experience in China or Korea and knowledge of electrical and enterprise software for T&D. • Strong channel development, cross‑collaboration, and contract negotiation skills. • Excellent English and Chinese written and verbal communication abilities. • Willingness to undertake frequent international business travel.
