About the Role

In this senior role you will lead the pursuit, win and execution of healthcare projects such as inpatient hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health facilities, and medical office buildings. You will manage regional life‑science teams, develop business plans, target pursuits, and ensure delivery of a wide variety of life‑science projects, while reporting to the regional firm leader. • Oversee and expand regional staff while coordinating healthcare project execution and maintaining client satisfaction. • Generate new revenue and grow existing streams within the healthcare market, tracking leads, forecasting pipeline, and developing winning strategies. • Stay current on regional and national market trends and ensure technical excellence across project delivery. • Develop and coordinate regional practice‑area business plans with national life‑science and healthcare strategies, including collaboration with other practice areas. • Lead business development activities to penetrate new clients, increase national sales, and secure higher‑margin work. • Manage project financials, inter‑office and client reporting, aiming for $1 M–$3 M annual revenue. • Articulate the firm’s value proposition, lead sales presentations, and promote integrated services. • Produce thought‑leadership content such as articles, white papers, and speak at industry conferences. • Recruit senior staff with market‑specific experience and provide leadership to new direct reports.

What You Bring

As a global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services, we specialize in highly technical buildings and the systems that bring them to life. We are seeking a performance‑driven, highly motivated leader to collaborate with our national life‑science and Healthcare leadership team and eventually oversee this practice area in the Northeast or West region offices, based in our New York City headquarters. • Demonstrate knowledge of OSHPD regulations, design‑build proposals, and contracts. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). • 15+ years of Life Science design experience, with at least 5 years in consulting engineering or A/E firm. • Minimum 7 years of management experience and 7+ years of business development for engineering. • Deep knowledge of MEP systems; PE registration highly desired. • Strong leadership, relationship‑building, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. • Recognized expert in Life Science and Healthcare market focus.
