About the Role

The Business Development Manager will act as the primary liaison with manufacturing agency partners and cultivate relationships with specifiers, mechanical contractors, architects, designers, and facilities managers. By collaborating across internal functions and external partners, the BDM will uncover market opportunities, align priorities, and sustain pipeline growth while navigating complex sales cycles with a strategic, customer‑focused approach. • Execute business development strategies with agency partners in priority territories. • Implement go‑to‑market plans to secure commercial opportunities and ensure long‑term market viability. • Leverage industry networks to unlock and accelerate growth. • Provide strategic insights that differentiate Delta in the marketplace. • Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver solutions for complex customer needs. • Track, measure, and communicate progress toward key business goals. • Build and expand relationships with top specifiers to secure product inclusion in project specifications. • Cultivate partnerships with mechanical contractors, owner groups, facilities managers, and distributors to drive growth. • Represent Delta at local, regional, and national trade events and lead special segment‑focused events. • Maintain alignment with the independent agency network on shared strategic plans. • Participate in industry organizations such as MCAA, HES, and ASPE. • Contribute to a high‑growth, high‑impact business in a strategic, customer‑facing role.

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in commercial sales, business development, or account management, preferably in institutional, healthcare, or heavy commercial sectors. • Deep understanding of complex commercial sales cycles and ability to maintain specifications throughout project lifecycles. • Strong written and verbal communication skills for confident presentations to internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and develop value‑capture strategies. • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Smartsheet, and CRM/sales tracking tools. • Demonstrated cross‑functional collaboration and relationship‑building abilities. • High initiative, ownership, and accountability; capable of independent work aligned with team goals. • Willingness to travel regularly across the United States. • Expertise in commercial segments and go‑to‑market strategies. • Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value. • Skilled at building trust‑based relationships with industry influencers and decision‑makers. • Customer‑centric, hunter mindset to create new opportunities. • Influence without authority and drive cross‑functional initiatives. • Adaptable and resilient in shifting market conditions. • Data‑driven decision‑making and forward‑thinking. • Strong pipeline management and operational discipline.
