About the Role
The role is for an experienced Software Engineer to lead the full‑lifecycle development of this critical product, working on design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support. The position is based in San Diego, with on‑site work Monday through Thursday and a remote day on Friday. • Design, build, test, and deploy scalable, reusable applications handling large data volumes. • Take full ownership of work from development through production support. • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, designers, and leadership. • Serve as a trusted team member for technical architecture, design, and code decisions. • Advocate for technical and process improvements and explore new tools and best practices. • Develop deep understanding of CoStar’s business and analytics products. • Apply software development best practices: code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, in‑person university. • Provide 4+ years of professional software development experience. • Demonstrate solid Object‑Oriented Programming skills. • Possess deep knowledge of C#, .NET Framework, Web API, and Node.js. • Know modern front‑end technologies such as JavaScript and React. • Expertise with relational databases, especially SQL Server. • Experience with source control systems like Git or TFS. • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is preferred. • Exhibit strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis, Neo4j) is a plus.
