About the Role

Carpenters on Pepper construction sites perform a wide range of tasks, assisting other trades and handling both rough and finish carpentry. Duties include constructing and installing wood, metal, and wallboard structures, assembling doors, hardware, trim, cabinetry, and ceiling systems, erecting scaffolding, loading and moving materials, and performing selective demolition and site clean‑up. Carpenters also install safety handrails, manage partition framing and sheet‑rock work, and may supervise subcontractors when directed. • Construct, erect, install, and repair wood, plywood, metal, and wallboard structures using hand and power tools. • Install doors, hardware, trim, cabinetry, ceiling materials, and millwork. • Build rough structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel supports, and temporary shelters from blueprints or sketches. • Measure and cut boards, timbers, and panels to specified dimensions. • Erect scaffolding, ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways; install subflooring and weld steel components. • Load, unload, and transport materials from pallets, trucks, or site locations. • Perform partition layout, framing, and sheet‑rock installation. • Execute rough carpentry tasks, including in‑wall blocking, and finish carpentry such as door and trim installation. • Provide temporary protection (barricades, visqueen, floor protection) and maintain site cleanliness. • Conduct selective demolition of non‑load‑bearing walls, ceilings, and flooring and clear debris. • Install and maintain safety handrails and covered openings. • Supervise subcontractors and shift work as directed by the foreman or superintendent.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least four years of commercial construction experience, with OSHA‑10 and an operator’s certificate preferred. The role requires a detail‑oriented, reliable worker who can lift up to 100 lb, work flexible hours, and collaborate independently or in a team.
