About the Role
The Technician II role focuses on installing, testing, repairing, and commissioning security and building‑technology systems while adhering to company standards and relevant building or electrical codes. The technician works closely with project managers, field engineers, and apprentices, ensuring clear communication, proper project closeout, and participation in a 24‑hour on‑call rotation. • Install, terminate, and test equipment per specifications and applicable codes. • Repair, restore, and test systems according to specifications and codes. • Communicate daily with Project Manager on status, delays, and requirements. • Perform work following company standards and quality installation techniques. • Coordinate project closeout and turnover with Project Manager. • Work at required heights using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or similar equipment. • Enter confined spaces when necessary. • Collaborate with Field Engineers during startup to ensure system compliance. • Train apprentices on procedures, systems, and installation methods. • Participate in a 24‑hour on‑call rotation. • Regularly stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, stoop; use hands; lift up to 50 lb; work at heights >6 ft; use power tools.

What You Bring
The position requires regular physical activity, including standing, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and working at heights above six feet, as well as using power tools and entering confined spaces. Working conditions involve exposure to outdoor weather, job‑site travel, occasional office environments, moderate noise levels, and occasional high‑work situations. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum 2 years of electronics experience with daily AC/DC theory use. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics (at least 1 year experience). • Valid US driver’s license with acceptable record. • Pass pre‑employment screening. • Associate degree in a technical field (preferred). • 3+ years of electronics experience with AC/DC theory (preferred). • Basic MS Office skills (preferred). • Aptitude for learning system programming (preferred). • Exposure to outdoor weather, job‑site travel, occasional office work, moderate noise, confined‑space entry, and occasional high‑work tasks.

Compensation ranges from $18 to $35 per hour, dependent on experience, with a typical Monday‑Friday schedule that may include overtime, on‑call duties, and overnight travel.
