About the Role

The Med Tech provides quality care to residents and their families, assisting with medication administration according to care plans and physicians’ orders. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and preserving residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity. • Administer or assist with resident medication per care plans and physician orders. • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with federal, state, and ethical standards. • Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, cognitive, or emotional status. • Complete annual medication training and periodic competency testing. • Follow HIPAA policies to protect resident privacy and dignity.

What You Bring

Candidates must have completed Medication Technician training, pass periodic competency tests, and be able to administer medication per state regulations. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, knowledge of HIPAA, and at least six months experience working with seniors in personal care, home health, hospital, or long‑term care settings. Availability to work weekends and holidays is essential. The position demands physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and using fine and gross motor skills while employing proper body mechanics. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and successful Medication Technician training. • Have at least six months experience in senior care environments. • Be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible part‑time schedules. • Capable of safely lifting up to 50 lb and performing various physical tasks.

Benefits

The Medication Technician reports to the Director of Health & Wellness and is a non‑exempt hourly position. The role is part‑time with two shift options: 7 am‑11 am on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays and alternating weekends, or 5 pm‑9 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Compensation is $23.00‑$24.00 per hour.
