About the Role

You will assemble, install, maintain and test electrical equipment and wiring systems, prepare work areas, install and connect wiring according to NEC and job specifications, operate tools and equipment only when trained and certified, and set up hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, and cable vacuum systems. You will read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings, verify dimensions, alignments and clearances, secure tools after use, deliver projects safely, on schedule and within budget, and communicate effectively with supervisors, project teams and other trades while maintaining a safe work environment and following PPE requirements. • Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial/industrial settings. • Prepare work areas and install wiring per NEC, building codes, and job specifications. • Operate certified power tools, hydraulic benders, threaders, pullers, and cable vacuum systems. • Read blueprints and electrical drawings to verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances. • Secure and lock up tools after use; adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements. • Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while communicating with supervisors and trades. • Maintain reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. • Travel regularly to multiple states and maintain full‑time onsite attendance.

What You Bring

As an Electrician at Z‑Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and testing electrical equipment in commercial and industrial construction environments. This role is ideal for a licensed electrician with strong code knowledge, precision installation skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and project execution from start to finish. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of commercial electrician experience at the journeyman level, holds a Texas State Electrical Journeyman License, and possesses a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Strong knowledge of the NEC and building codes, proven precision in conduit installation, ability to work independently from blueprints, and a solid work ethic are essential. The role requires routinely lifting objects over 50 pounds, frequent crouching, bending, climbing and other manual tasks, and the ability to perform physically demanding work for most of the day. You must be able to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments while wearing required PPE. Work is performed at construction sites and project locations across multiple states, requiring regular travel and predictable onsite attendance. Full‑time, on‑site presence is an essential function of the role. • Possess 4+ years of commercial electrician experience and Texas State Journeyman License. • Demonstrate strong NEC knowledge and precision in conduit installation. • Able to routinely lift >50 lb and perform repetitive manual tasks in varied weather.
