About the Role
The Northeast Health Principal will shape HDR’s health sector in the Northeast, reporting to the Global Health Director and partnering with the East Region Health Director. This leader will drive new business, oversee impactful health projects, and uphold HDR’s reputation for quality design, innovative planning, client service, and thought leadership across the region. Key responsibilities include developing and executing business development strategies, identifying target clients, building strategic partnerships, leading pursuit and proposal processes, nurturing client relationships, advancing the firm’s health practice through marketing and thought leadership, mentoring staff, and overseeing project delivery as Principal‑in‑Charge when appropriate.

What You Bring
HDR seeks a seasoned architecture professional with extensive project leadership experience, a strong record on large‑scale health projects, and a dedication to collaborative, inclusive culture. • Extensive knowledge and experience in the local and regional market (Preferred) • Proven ability to develop and execute targeted market and client strategies (Preferred) • Interest in sustainable design and LEED principles (Preferred) • Forward‑thinking with a big‑picture mentality (Preferred) • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Required) • Minimum 15 years of related experience (Required) • At least 7 years of project management experience (Required) • Registered/licensed architect (Required) • Experience delivering large‑scale projects (Required) • Ability to lead teams and deliver client presentations (Required) • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) (Required) • Strong team leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills (Required) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required) • Willingness to travel as needed (Required) • Commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned, inclusive culture (Required)
