About the Role
The Manufacturing Technician II – 2nd Shift assembles, fits, and mounts sub‑assemblies, components, and standard or near‑standard fixed assemblies in Motor Control Centers, Enclosed Control units, and related equipment. The technician works from oral or written instructions, prints, inspection reports, manufacturing information sheets, and wiring diagrams. The position involves interpreting shop orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures. • Follow oral or written instructions, prints, inspection reports, and wiring diagrams. • Use manufacturing information sheets to determine parts, write requisitions, and obtain materials. • Read shop orders and drawings to plan assembly procedures. • Assemble and fit parts into sub‑assemblies or complete assemblies. • Wire control devices and cut wires to length. • Adjust assemblies for correct alignment and clearances. • Install units, panels, meters, relays, fuses, transformers, etc., by mounting or bolting. • Assemble and install bus work such as lug adapters, cross‑over bus, and splices. • Build pre‑bent cable units, MTB and control panel harnesses using pre‑cable boards and crimp lugs. • Modify standard assemblies or doors, altering hole cutouts with hand or power tools. • Perform wiring changes as required. • Operate floor‑mounted overhead and jib cranes to move units and panels. • Inspect work quality, report issues, and maintain piece count records. • Mark wires, devices, and terminals; apply ID labels; identify harnesses/panels with job numbers. • Wear required safety equipment and follow hygiene standards.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and have at least three months of manufacturing experience. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the Fayetteville, NC facility, although active‑duty military personnel are exempt from this geographic requirement. No relocation assistance is provided for this role. Successful technicians demonstrate comprehension of wiring diagrams and schematics, can operate various hand tools in a lean environment, and are self‑driven with minimal supervision. Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching above shoulder level, gripping, and frequently lifting or carrying up to 35 pounds, as well as pushing or pulling the same weight. Adequate far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination is required. Flexibility to work overtime and adaptable hours is expected to support business needs.
