About the Role

The journeyman will assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring, equipment, and fixtures, connect components such as circuit breakers and transformers, and perform system testing with instruments like voltmeters and oscilloscopes. Responsibilities also include reading plans and work orders, repairing high‑voltage systems, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe work environment. • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools. • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components. • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes. • Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lighting, and other electrical components per code. • Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine requirements and sequence. • Repair and maintain high‑voltage systems. • Organize work by reviewing work orders, gathering tools and supplies, and reading prints. • Perform preventive maintenance and system testing. • Maintain a safe work environment and comply with electrical codes and safety procedures. • Update technical knowledge through training and reading technical publications. • Work collaboratively with diverse team members and build relationships across organizational levels. • Operate equipment such as table saws, radial arm saws, sanders, drill presses, and fall protection gear. • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.
