About the Role
The position is part of the Materials function within the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence and reports to the Procurement Manager Mobility – Materials. It supports the Global Eaton Mobility sector, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders such as SIOP and inventory teams to improve key Materials metrics and drive organizational initiatives. The role also leads a team of approximately 12‑15 buyers/material planners and supports the mobility business’s foresight transition. The leader is responsible for fostering collaboration with Business SCM Leadership, communicating objectives, and ensuring alignment across global, regional, and local material management teams. Responsibilities include developing talent through mentoring, hiring, succession planning, and driving accountability to meet functional expectations such as COTD and CSI. The manager will also own business impact goals like inventory days‑on‑hand reduction, cost avoidance, and continuous improvement through QMS processes, escalation management, root‑cause analysis, and risk mitigation. • Align Business SCM Leadership objectives through effective communication and presentations. • Lead and develop a team of 15+ buyers/material planners, including hiring, mentoring, cross‑training, and succession planning. • Drive functional performance metrics such as COTD and CSI by motivating and engaging the team. • Enhance customer engagement by establishing KPIs, conducting voice‑of‑customer meetings, and addressing feedback promptly. • Plan, schedule, and manage business services to meet agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards. • Grow the team and scale supplier‑planning roles to support business expansion. • Achieve business impact goals, including inventory days‑on‑hand reduction and cost‑out/avoidance initiatives. • Implement QMS processes for escalation management, root‑cause analysis, quality checks, risk analysis, and mitigation. • Coach team members in continuous improvement and drive high‑impact issue resolution. • Perform proactive data mining to identify leakages, recommend improvements, and support CoE initiatives.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold an engineering degree with a master’s specialization in Materials, Production, or Operations Management and possess 12‑15 years of material planning experience. Prior team‑management experience in the supply chain domain is required. The role demands strong supply‑chain and materials‑management expertise, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and the capacity to engage with senior leadership, operations, and diverse stakeholders. Customer‑service orientation and interpersonal skills are essential for driving customer satisfaction and cross‑geography collaboration. • Collaborate with global, regional, and local materials management teams using strong communication skills.
