About the Role

The entry‑level Field Engineer will report to the General Superintendent and support construction planning, subcontractor coordination, contract development, work‑plan preparation, schedule updates, field monitoring, layout checks, subcontract administration, progress reporting, change‑order participation, quality checks, permitting, and project close‑out. • Review project plans and develop construction schedules aligned with overall project activities. • Coordinate material acquisitions and pre‑construction deliverables with subcontractors. • Obtain quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements. • Prepare construction work‑plan packages and lead pre‑construction meetings. • Update and distribute work activity schedules, communicating start‑time notifications across disciplines. • Monitor daily field construction processes and perform layout checks against requirements. • Assist subcontractor administration, handling correspondence, submittals, RFIs, and payment records. • Prepare monthly progress reports, schedule updates, and issue tracking documentation. • Participate in change‑order and claims management processes. • Identify and resolve site condition changes impacting work plans. • Develop quality inspection checks and coordinate permitting with relevant entities. • Manage project close‑out activities in coordination with the client and third parties.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field, possess strong knowledge of AutoCAD, OSHA safety standards, CPM scheduling, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office, and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and detail‑oriented skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline from an accredited institution. • Experience in heavy civil construction (preferred) and familiarity with AutoCAD. • Knowledge of construction safety standards, federal regulations, and OSHA requirements. • Understanding of project controls, cost accounting, basic estimating, forecasting, and contracts. • Proficiency with critical path method scheduling and resource allocation. • Experience using Microsoft Office and Primavera P6. • Strong organizational, time‑management, written and verbal communication skills. • High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently or within a team.

Benefits

The position offers a salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 depending on experience. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, and staffing agency candidates will not be considered.
