About the Role
As a Group Manager, you will lead your team while driving profitability. Drawing on extensive field experience and business acumen in geotechnical engineering, you will mentor engineers, technicians, and project managers in both technical expertise and client relationship building. Your focus on high standards and hard work ensures the delivery of top‑quality results, and the role offers clear pathways for career growth within the company. • Oversee Team A at the National Harbor satellite office (DC/Arlington/Suburban Maryland) • Lead and mentor technicians and project managers • Supervise geotechnical and field services projects • Review proposals for geotechnical engineering and field services • Conduct field services and technical report reviews • Manage departmental profit and loss • Support senior staff in marketing ECS services through regular client contact • Drive marketing and business development initiatives • Assist with recruiting and maintaining adequate staffing levels

What You Bring
• BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program (required) • 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience (DMV market experience a plus) • Professional Engineer (PE) license (required) • Principal designation highly valued
