About the Role
The Driver/Operator safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on assigned transfer routes, adhering to OSHA, DOT, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining a clean and safe vehicle. Key responsibilities include conducting pre‑ and post‑trip DVIR inspections, reporting unsafe situations or incidents to the Operations Manager or Dispatch, participating in required training and meetings, and collaborating with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency. The role also involves assisting other drivers as directed, communicating customer requests, dumping and cleaning containers, correctly positioning containers on customer property, submitting tickets for excess yardage, and completing all required documentation at the end of each route. • Operate the vehicle in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all relevant regulations. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip DVIR inspections and record any vehicle issues. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or property damage immediately to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Assist other drivers as directed and follow daily route assignments. • Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager. • Dump containers, clean the site, and ensure containers are upright, lids replaced, and not blocking driveways. • Submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal and complete end‑of‑route documentation.

What You Bring
There are no supervisory duties. Qualifications require a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License, a minimum age of 18, successful completion of a DOT drug screen, physical, background check, and an acceptable driving record; no specific education or prior experience is required.
