About the Role
• Follow safety processes at school and on the shop floor, adhering to all health and safety policies. • Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance on mechatronic equipment, including installation, repair, adjustment, and testing. • Analyze technical specifications of mechatronic systems, subsystems, modules and components. • Learn and work with PLCs alongside Automation Engineers in a laboratory environment. • Enroll in and complete a 12‑week training program at a designated college and a subsequent year of on‑the‑job learning.

What You Bring
The Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) will learn to install, alter, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer and control systems in a complex fulfillment center through a blend of classroom, laboratory and on‑the‑job learning. After completing a 12‑week training program at one of four partner colleges, apprentices will spend a year of on‑the‑job learning and then be promoted to Mechatronics & Robotics Technician. • Communicate effectively within team settings both during training and on‑the‑job learning. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, and pass a Mechanical Aptitude Test. • Proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project for document creation and management. • Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts and locations. • Experience in electrical, mechanical, or controls fields is preferred. • Physically able to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lb, and wear required PPE such as hard hat and composite‑toe shoes. • Comfortable moving 6–12 miles daily between departments, working in variable warehouse temperatures, and typing on a computer for 1–2 hours each day.
