About the Role

The Sales Engineer is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective customers, leveraging product expertise and market insight to meet their needs. In addition to managing order entry and coordinating with customer service, the role serves as a technical and commercial bridge between field sales, customers, and internal teams, while influencing product and policy enhancements. The position also involves forecasting sales, presenting at trade shows and meetings, guiding junior staff, and taking charge of special projects as directed by management. • Build and sustain commercial relationships using sales expertise and product knowledge. • Analyze customer specifications to create bills of material and competitive pricing. • Process and verify incoming orders before acceptance and enter them into the backlog system. • Coordinate with Customer Service to secure resources for customer commitments. • Act as technical liaison among field sales, customers, and internal divisions. • Recommend product, policy, or procedural changes to enhance quality and market leadership. • Develop monthly sales forecasts and monitor industry trends. • Present product programs at trade shows, customer sites, and corporate meetings. • Mentor sales engineers, technicians, and service representatives. • Lead negotiations and formulate competitive strategies. • Facilitate accurate hand‑off of order information to operations for project execution. • Execute special projects assigned by Sales or Product Line Management.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have at least two to three years of combined engineering, technical, and sales experience, including familiarity with medium‑voltage controls or variable frequency drives. Strong Microsoft Office skills, a proactive leadership attitude, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Management, Business or related field. • 2–3 years of combined engineering, technical, and sales experience. • Technical knowledge of medium‑voltage controls and/or variable frequency drives. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook). • Demonstrated leadership ability and urgency in handling priorities.
