What You Bring
Downer is seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Technicians, or Fitters for a hybrid workshop and field role in Mackay, Queensland. The position combines workshop‑based maintenance with on‑site fault diagnosis, offering a variety of tasks and a focus on safety, quality, and collaboration. Overtime opportunities with penalty pay are also available. Applicants must hold a trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, or Fitting, and possess strong hydraulic knowledge and diagnostic skills. Experience with mobile plant, trucks, and heavy equipment is required, with auto‑electrical experience highly regarded; HR and forklift licences are desirable.
