About the Role
Senior Diesel Mechanics at WM work primarily in the Lakeland, Florida repair and maintenance shop, handling both diesel equipment and, at certain sites, a growing fleet of CNG trucks. Each day involves diagnosing and fixing trucks that serve over 20 million customers nationwide, using modern tools and established procedures while maintaining strict safety standards. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on vehicles • Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Review, complete, or assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area compliant with Corporate/OSHA standards

What You Bring
