About the Role

• Champion safety by managing exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and compliance standards. • Apply technical expertise in local health and safety regulations. • Promote a diverse, inclusive environment and employee wellbeing. • Support cost planning and present cost plans to clients and internal stakeholders. • Manage procurement stages including pre‑qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation. • Deliver cost management services to achieve strategic outcomes and key performance indicators. • Ensure fiscally and ethically viable operations, aligned with business and legislative compliance. • Contribute to net‑zero carbon transition by identifying and managing project emissions and reductions. • Lead and develop teams, fostering continuous improvement and excellence in delivery. • Network, innovate and leverage Mace’s centres of excellence, control centre and knowledge hub. • Oversee Cost Consultants to improve cost management procedures, templates and products.

What You Bring

Within our consulting business we combine leading‑edge practical expertise with project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential of every project we undertake. • Hold a degree in engineering, quantity surveying, business management, accounting, economics, project controls or a related discipline. • Possess significant experience in cost engineering or project controls on complex projects. • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to present complex data. • Have experience in infrastructure, rail, civil engineering, major programmes, government or large‑scale capital projects. • Be familiar with risk management and change management processes. • Hold professional accreditation or be working towards membership with ACostE, ICE, RICS or similar bodies. • Exhibit commercial and financial acumen with the ability to develop senior stakeholder relationships.
