About the Role
The primary purpose of the role is to evaluate radiological conditions at the nuclear plant and implement necessary safety measures to protect plant workers and the general public. • Perform dose‑rate, contamination, and airborne radioactivity surveys. • Provide job coverage to minimize personnel radiation exposure. • Control access to radioactive material through labeling and posting. • Brief and guide plant personnel to prevent unplanned radioactive exposure. • Measure and record radiation levels; clean, maintain, and issue respiratory protection equipment, wearing a respirator as required.

What You Bring
• Hold a High School Diploma with chemistry and mathematics coursework. • Pass pre‑employment testing and obtain unescorted nuclear access. • Work flexible shifts and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. • Possess either an associate degree in Radiation Protection/Health Physics, two years of related professional experience, six years of Navy Nuclear experience with ELT qualifications, or prior commercial nuclear plant radiation protection experience with NUF certification.
