About the Role

• Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, EITs, and designers. • Collaborate with fellow Mechanical Team Leads and the Business Class Lead on staffing and project proposals. • Drive technical excellence, quality, recruiting, and staff development. • Ensure technical excellence across markets such as commercial, civic, industrial, federal, water, transportation, healthcare, education, and laboratory facilities. • Act as design lead or engineering project manager for key projects. • Implement, monitor, and support company policies and business class initiatives. • Participate in nationwide mechanical practice development and work‑sharing. • Assist the Mechanical Business Class Lead with recruitment and growth of the business class.

What You Bring

• Hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis (preferred). • Demonstrated experience building and managing diverse engineering teams (preferred). • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required). • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience (required). • Professional registration, license, or certification as required (required). • Strong communication, listening, leadership, and organizational skills (required). • Ability to handle multiple assignments and actively contribute to HDR’s employee‑owner culture (required).
