About the Role
The individual will collaborate with a cross‑functional set of stakeholders across the business to drive improvements in operational buyers' roles within the Center of Excellence. The role operates on a 6 PM – 3 AM shift and requires daily communication and coordination with schedulers for plan and execution updates. Key duties include understanding material requirements, processing requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and working closely with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery to the plant. The role also manages exception messages, internal escalations, monitors KPI performance, resolves discrepancies, works with logistics partners, evaluates supplier performance, and utilizes digital SCM tools for efficiency. Additional responsibilities cover addressing put‑away issues, expediting shortages, identifying root causes, leading improvement projects, sharing best practices, driving purchasing metric improvements, reviewing invoices, coordinating payments, updating lead times and stocking levels, and performing over‑buy/under‑buy analysis. • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to improve operational buyers’ roles within the CoE. • Operate on the 6 PM – 3 AM shift. • Communicate and coordinate with schedulers for plan and execution updates. • Process material requisitions and issue purchase orders to suppliers. • Ensure on‑time delivery of material to the plant by working closely with suppliers. • Execute and manage exception messages (postponement, anticipation, cancellation) and internal escalations. • Monitor internal team KPIs and develop action plans to mitigate risks and gaps. • Resolve internal discrepancies and external supplier issues (delivery, claims, quality). • Work with logistics partners and suppliers to meet incoterms for material delivery. • Evaluate and monitor supplier on‑time performance (SOTD) and drive corrective actions. • Leverage digital SCM tools for maximum efficiency. • Address DC/plant put‑away issues. • Expedite purchasing escalations and shortages to meet revenue goals. • Identify root causes of shortages and implement corrective actions. • Lead improvement projects and share best practices with buyers. • Drive purchasing metric improvements and standardize practices across sites. • Review supplier invoices and coordinate payments with AP. • Update lead times and stocking levels with materials management to ensure uninterrupted supply. • Perform over‑buy/under‑buy analysis to manage excess inventory.

What You Bring
Candidates should have 7–10 years of relevant experience in materials planning or supply chain management, hold a graduate degree with a Master’s in Materials, Production, or Operations Management (preferred), and possess strong functional knowledge of materials management and replenishment planning concepts. • 7–10 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain management. • Graduate degree with a Master’s in Materials, Production, or Operations Management (preferred). • Strong functional knowledge of materials management and replenishment planning concepts.
