About the Role

The primary purpose of the position is to perform advanced technical and engineering problem‑solving in support of nuclear plant operations, make technical decisions, and apply detailed knowledge of industry codes and regulations. Key duties include providing in‑depth technical expertise for engineering analyses and programs, diagnosing equipment and system issues, managing engineering tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design criteria and codes, conducting independent research and studies, recommending equipment or techniques to improve performance and reduce costs, and supporting emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and outage activities. • Deliver technical expertise for engineering analysis, program development, and equipment/system problem resolution. • Manage engineering tasks, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to codes, standards, and configuration management. • Conduct independent research, reviews, and studies to support technical projects and programs. • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques that improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, and address design or material flaws. • Provide emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and support outage activities as needed.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications vary by level: all candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) and meet required access and medical standards. Mid‑level engineers need at least two years of nuclear or related engineering experience, while senior engineers require five years of such experience. Preferred qualifications include Engineer‑in‑Training certification, a strong grasp of group techniques and functions, and experience in predictive and preventive maintenance of large electrical motors. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) and satisfy access and medical requirements for nuclear facilities. • Possess at least 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience for mid‑level positions and 5 years for senior roles. • Preferred: Engineer‑in‑Training certification and experience with predictive and preventive maintenance of large electrical motors.
