About the Role

The role is responsible for managing the financial performance and productivity of multiple Operating Units, ensuring they achieve or surpass annual objectives and successfully execute organizational initiatives. Key responsibilities include assisting in the creation and execution of the area’s operating plan aligned with long‑range goals, continuously reviewing market performance, and providing guidance to managers on program execution and necessary adjustments. The incumbent also collaborates on budget development, supports budget optimization, oversees personnel functions such as hiring, coaching, and performance evaluation, and coordinates resources to meet operational activities. Participation in regular profit‑and‑loss reviews and implementation of safety, productivity, and profitability programs in compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations are also required. • Manage financial performance and productivity of multiple Operating Units. • Design and implement area operating plans aligned with long‑range objectives. • Review market performance continuously and set performance measures. • Advise managers on program execution and adjust work plans as needed. • Develop and forecast operating unit budgets, including financial and human‑resource needs. • Support budget optimization and ensure compliance. • Oversee personnel functions: hiring, coaching, training, performance evaluation, and input on termination, compensation, and promotions. • Schedule resources and attend regular profit‑and‑loss reviews. • Implement safety, productivity, and profitability programs in line with DOT/OSHA regulations.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold an accredited Bachelor’s degree, or alternatively a high school diploma/GED combined with at least four years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include seven years of operations management experience, at least three years leading a team of two or more, expertise in safety program implementation, budget management, and labor‑relations issue resolution. • Minimum qualifications: accredited Bachelor’s degree (or high school/GED with 4 years experience). • Preferred: 7 years operations management experience, 3+ years team leadership, safety program implementation, budget management, labor‑relations resolution. • Physical demands include repetitive motions, coordination, sitting, talking, and hearing in an office setting.
