About the Role
The Information System Security Specialist III role leads the implementation of CGS’s information security program, overseeing strategy, infrastructure, policy enforcement and emergency planning. The position is remote and contingent upon contract award, requiring coordination with leadership and key security personnel to reduce organizational risk. The specialist is responsible for maintaining DoD RMF‑aligned security postures, producing and updating system security documentation, monitoring compliance, and advising program and technical teams on cybersecurity matters. The role operates primarily in a standard office environment, with occasional material handling, confined‑space work, and travel. Employees must protect confidential information and meet physical requirements such as lifting, stooping and operating a computer. • Maintain information system security posture in line with DoD RMF and cybersecurity policies. • Develop, update, and maintain system security documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, accreditation artifacts). • Monitor compliance, assess security controls, and coordinate remediation activities. • Serve as principal cybersecurity advisor to program and technical teams. • Coordinate hardware, software, and configuration changes with ISSM and Authorizing Officials. • Support cybersecurity reporting, audits, and continuous monitoring requirements.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree. • Current Information Security Level II certification. • Minimum three years’ experience installing hardware and software products. • Active Top Secret security clearance. • Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record. • Ability to pass background checks, drug testing, and U.S. citizenship. • Familiarity with government contracts (preferred).
