About the Role

As the client leader for entitlements, you will engage daily with owner representatives, guiding feasibility, design, and development of commercial retail projects, primarily new warehouses across Canada. Positioned within the Client Programs Market, you will handle diverse project opportunities for a growing domestic and international portfolio, collaborating directly with consultants, contractors, and various client contacts to secure owner and jurisdictional approvals. You will lead and manage both client and project teams from concept through design development, construction documents, and construction administration, ensuring quality control of all deliverables and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. The role also involves budgeting, invoice review, scope‑change negotiations, mentorship of junior staff, and occasional travel for site meetings and jurisdictional presentations. • Lead client and project teams from concept through design, construction documents, and construction administration. • Direct the architectural design process, ensuring AHJ and client expectations are met and deliverables are high quality. • Manage quality control of project documents and oversee delivery to client or authorities. • Coordinate construction costing, scheduling, and phasing with internal cost team, contractors, and client departments. • Negotiate scope changes and additional services with the client. • Oversee project finances, review invoices, track collections, and address aging invoices. • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and team members, providing confident guidance on drawings and deliverables. • Establish project plans, schedules, budgets, and regular milestone updates; provide weekly status reports to the client. • Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge sharing within the team. • Travel 1–2 days per week for site meetings and jurisdictional presentations.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field, has eight or more years of professional architecture experience (licensure preferred), and is proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office as well as collaboration tools such as Bluebeam, Miro, and Teams. Experience coordinating construction documents and administration, along with strong English communication skills, is required. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field. • 8+ years of professional architecture/design experience; licensure preferred. • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, and collaboration tools (Bluebeam, Miro, Teams). • Experience coordinating architectural construction documents and construction administration (RFIs, submittals, field reports, close‑out). • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
