About the Role
The Testing and Commissioning Manager leads systematic verification and validation of building systems to ensure they meet design specifications and performance requirements. The role oversees the entire commissioning process—from pre‑construction through warranty—coordinating design teams, contractors and facility operators to deliver fully functional, efficient building systems. • Develop and manage commissioning plans, testing procedures, acceptance criteria, and QA protocols across multiple projects. • Coordinate commissioning schedules with construction timelines and allocate resources effectively. • Oversee functional performance testing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security, and building automation systems. • Conduct witness testing, validate system integration, and ensure compliance with design documents, specifications and codes. • Lead commissioning teams, manage technicians, specialists and external consultants, and resolve technical issues with contractors and designers. • Maintain comprehensive testing documentation, deficiency tracking, and prepare final handover reports, O&M manuals and performance baselines. • Verify that commissioned systems meet performance specs, energy efficiency targets and regulatory requirements, and provide training to facility operators. • On‑site work in Mumbai, India with a 48‑hour weekly schedule and occasional travel to project sites.

What You Bring
The position requires significant time in active construction environments, adherence to safety protocols, and frequent travel to project sites, with occasional extended assignments. Standard business hours apply, but flexibility is needed for critical testing activities and project milestones. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, building engineering or a related field, and have at least five to seven years of commissioning experience with proven project leadership. Professional certification such as CCP or BCxP is preferred, along with strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and building automation systems. Effective communication, analytical problem‑solving, and proficiency with project‑management and commissioning tracking tools are essential. The role also expects the manager to foster collaborative relationships with superiors, peers, sub‑contractors and clients, promoting open and constructive interaction. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline and 5‑7 years of building systems commissioning experience. • Preferred certification as Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) or Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP). • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and building automation systems and familiarity with ASHRAE Guideline 0 and 1.1. • Excellent project‑management skills, proficiency with project‑management software and commissioning tracking tools. • Effective communication and analytical problem‑solving abilities for presenting findings to diverse stakeholders.
