About the Role
The Customer Support Specialist provides assistance and support to customers, sales, facility operations, the Customer Service Manager, and management by coordinating office services such as data entry, clerical work, records control, form creation, and report preparation. This role also processes orders, prepares correspondence, and fulfills customer needs to ensure satisfaction, while expediting the courteous flow of internal and external communications via telephone and email. Key responsibilities include communicating with customers by phone, email, or in person to obtain information and ensure accurate, timely waste profile approval. The specialist assists both internal and external customers with waste characterization and related documentation in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations, maintains customer profiles and contract filing systems, and coordinates the completion of profile and contract forms, deposits, change‑of‑address records, and discontinuance orders. Additional duties involve researching operational concerns, preparing reports and waste shipment summaries, handling manifests, processing memos and correspondence, and reviewing billing adjustments. • Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person to obtain and approve waste profile information. • Assist customers with waste characterization documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. • Maintain and update customer profiles and contract filing systems. • Coordinate completion of profile and contract forms, collect deposits, and process change‑of‑address or discontinuance orders. • Research operational concerns, resolve discrepancies, and prepare waste shipment summaries and reports. • Review billing adjustments and process related correspondence and memos.

What You Bring
Preferred qualifications require a customer‑service orientation, strong active‑listening skills, and excellent communication abilities. The candidate must be detail‑oriented and capable of operating a variety of office equipment such as scanners, calculators, copiers, computers, and facsimiles. Professionalism, problem‑solving ability, and a high level of competence in customer support (CS) skills are also essential.
