About the Role

Client focus requires you to lead key assignments, prepare contracts, warranties, bonds and licences for execution, and manage costing for design changes, contract awards and construction activities, presenting financial data to clients in line with the company vision. Creating opportunity calls for you to provide leadership to managers and professionals, drive continuous improvement, leverage Mace’s knowledge hubs, and steer Cost Consultants to enhance cost‑management processes and stakeholder services. • Champion safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project standards. • Lead delivery of key assignments and prepare contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licences for execution. • Manage costing for design changes, contract awards, and construction activities, and communicate financial impacts to clients. • Oversee fiscally and ethically viable operations while supporting net‑zero carbon transition and emissions reduction. • Provide leadership to managers and professionals, fostering continuous improvement and leveraging Mace’s knowledge resources. • Direct Cost Consultants to improve cost‑management procedures, templates, and stakeholder services.

What You Bring
The role requires a degree in quantity surveying or cost management, professional membership (or progression towards MRICS/RICS), experience in business development, strong commercial and financial acumen, knowledge of value engineering, life‑cycle costing, contract law, and the ability to lead diverse project teams and senior stakeholders. • Hold a degree in quantity surveying or cost management and pursue MRICS/RICS membership. • Demonstrate business development experience and strong commercial/financial acumen. • Possess knowledge of value engineering, life‑cycle costing, contract law, and sustainability considerations. • Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
