About the Role

The CAD Manager (Mechanical Component Engineer) leads the management of CAD systems to enable engineering excellence, standardize world‑class digital design practices across multiple sites, and ensure the availability and compliance of CAD tools for the engineering offices. Key responsibilities include managing the CAD library (family tables, models, symbols, automation), aligning CAD data with the ERP system, providing CAD expertise, problem‑solving and training to staff, creating and updating documentation and procedures, integrating calculation and ITO tools, and driving standardization and continuous improvement initiatives. The role has authority to define CAD best practices and associated procedures, works autonomously with the IT department on system evolutions, and validates changes through team leaders and engineering managers. Reporting to the R&D Manager, the CAD Manager collaborates with engineering offices in France, the UK, and the US, as well as manufacturing, sourcing, quality, sales, and IT stakeholders. • Manage CAD libraries (family tables, models, symbols, automation). • Ensure CAD data alignment with ERP system. • Provide CAD support, problem‑solving and training to engineering offices. • Create and maintain CAD documentation, procedures, and standards. • Integrate calculation and ITO tools into the CAD environment. • Lead CAD standardization and continuous improvement initiatives. • Support new product development by maintaining CAD tool adequacy. • Implement CAD strategy (hardware, software, licenses, support). • Harmonize best practices across France, UK, and US engineering sites. • Define and enforce CAD practices in collaboration with IT. • Validate continuous‑improvement changes with team and engineering managers. • Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, sales, and IT stakeholders. • Analyze specifications, drawings, databases, and technical documents. • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and installation plans. • Develop CAD automation and programming scripts. • Organize work efficiently and meet deadlines independently or in a team. • Promote QHSE compliance, reduce waste, and support environmental initiatives. • Offer flexible working hours to match productivity peaks. • Provide contemporary work‑life balance policies and wellbeing activities. • Provide tailored financial programs and optional voluntary benefits.
