What You Bring

The UGE Skilled Laborer/Groundman – negz supports the line crew by assisting with the installation and repair of underground power lines. The role involves gathering necessary materials, maintaining a safe work environment, and collaborating with personnel from various departments. This position reports to the line team and contributes to efficient jobsite operations. The job is performed in a field environment that routinely requires bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various weather conditions. Workers must have clear vision, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors. The role may involve extended periods of physical activity and requires adherence to safety standards. • Minimum qualification: high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year utilities/construction experience, and a valid driver’s license. • Preferred qualification: 2 + years experience and a CDL Class A driver’s license.
