About the Role
In this position you will conduct on‑site emergency repairs, start‑up services, and preventative maintenance for UPS systems, power distribution units, and batteries. Work is performed in an on‑call environment, providing technical support and acting as a technical advisor for operational and maintenance aspects of the equipment. • Perform on‑site emergency repairs, start‑up services, and preventative maintenance for UPS systems, PDUs, and batteries. • Provide technical support and serve as a technical advisor for customer equipment. • Travel up to 25% of drive‑time to customer sites within Lubbock, TX and occasionally nationwide. • Follow safety procedures, use insulated tools appropriately, and maintain high service quality.

What You Bring
Basic qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of experience with power systems, battery technologies, or electronics, a valid unrestricted state driver’s license, and residency within the greater Lubbock area. The company does not offer relocation or immigration sponsorship for this role. Preferred qualifications are an associate’s degree in electrical or electronics fields (or enrollment in a bachelor’s engineering program), three or more years of relevant experience, the ability to read schematic drawings, and an electrical technology certificate. Knowledge of troubleshooting, test and repair techniques is also valued. Success in the role requires up to 25% travel time, collaboration with other field service technicians, and physical ability to lift up to 75 lb and perform various manual tasks. Candidates should understand single‑phase and three‑phase circuit theory, analog and digital electronics, microprocessor controls, oscilloscopes, phase rotation, battery theory, and proper hand‑tool use, while adhering to safety protocols. • Basic qualifications: High School diploma/GED, ≥2 years power‑systems/electronics experience, valid driver’s license, Lubbock residency. • Preferred qualifications: Associate’s degree or engineering enrollment, ≥3 years relevant experience, schematic reading ability, Electrical Technology Certificate. • Demonstrate knowledge of circuit theory, analog/digital electronics, microprocessor controls, oscilloscopes, phase checks, and battery theory. • Proficient with PC (Windows, Office, Outlook) and possess strong written and oral communication skills. • Pass required background checks and drug screenings; eligible for reasonable accommodations.
