About the Role
• Participate in constructability reviews and task planning. • Prioritize multiple assignments and manage deadlines. • Evaluate supervisor directions and implement quality plans. • Produce work meeting company policies, procedures, and industry standards. • Champion MasTec culture and values, model ethics and stewardship. • Represent MasTec professionally in client interactions. • Provide contract-required reports (weekly, monthly, nonconformance, etc.). • Implement Corporate Quality Manual and develop site-specific quality plans. • Identify needs for Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). • Support or lead quality training, onboarding, and sessions. • Supply craft superintendent with site-specific quality consumables. • Lead quality audits, craft observations, and Quality Leadership Team meetings. • Compile and submit weekly quality metrics (repair rates, nonconformance, testing). • Participate in stretch/flex and morning gang box meetings. • Report nonconforming and rework events; engage in incident investigation and corrective action. • Ensure subcontractor kickoff meetings cover quality requirements and hold points. • Track timely closure of non-conformances and observations. • Promote stop work authority for quality-related events. • Act as key project leader and conduct internal/external meetings. • Provide on‑job training to quality managers, inspectors, and operations personnel. • Ensure implementation of project employee training programs. • Manage direct reports such as Site Quality Managers, Inspectors, admin staff, and survey teams. • Lead quality personnel staffing, develop and mentor site staff. • Foster quality team culture and retention. • Collaborate with leaders to drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring
• Minimum 10 years quality experience in construction/operations across civil, electrical, mechanical, pipeline/oil/gas, industrial, and welding. • In‑depth knowledge of ASME, AWS, AISC, ASNT, NEC, NFPA, NBIC, ACI codes and ability to interpret them. • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required; other certifications may be considered. • Experience working with Project Quality Sponsors and MasTec ASME Code Stamps. • Proven leadership of large industrial projects and teams. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint). • Experience with construction management software; proficient in Bluebeam Revu. • Preferred familiarity with Smartsheet and InEight. • Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations. • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce reports and business correspondence. • Ability to present information and respond to stakeholder questions. • Capability to work independently, allocate resources, and ensure proper training. • Self‑motivated, initiative‑taking, critical‑thinking for corrective actions. • Diplomatic skills to address quality and safety issues with internal/external parties. • Excellent interpersonal skills.
