About the Role

The Environmental Protection (EP) Specialist uses established procedures under supervision to administer and support EP programs across multiple districts in Upstate New York. Serving as the district EP contact, the role provides technical guidance to field operations and management, monitors compliance status, and delivers training to site and district personnel. • Travel to assigned market‑area sites in Upstate New York, averaging three days per week. • Prepare, review, and submit environmental reports; maintain EP data tracking systems such as Cycle and Dakota Tracer. • Communicate and implement corporate EP policies; act as district EP contact for incident notifications, environmental issues, and permit applications. • Monitor site operations for compliance, investigate regulatory findings, and prepare related documentation. • Plan, organize, and secure environmental permits and other regulatory approvals. • Develop, coordinate, and oversee district EP testing, investigations, assessments, guidance, and reporting. • May administer customer waste and special waste disposal approvals.
