About the Role
The Pump Technician is tasked with high‑quality repair of cryogenic pumps, including disassembly, analysis, troubleshooting, and rebuilding. The role demands productivity, timely delivery, and adherence to budget while ensuring complete customer satisfaction and compliance with safety and quality standards. Although the position carries no direct supervisory duties, the technician serves as a coach and mentor to peers, supporting team development and sharing expertise within the department. The role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting 50‑100 pounds in a shop environment, primarily at the Customer Center, with occasional travel to customer sites. Standard office equipment is used for documentation and communication. All duties must be performed in accordance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and required personal protective equipment. Employees are expected to complete safety training, participate in additional training as directed, and promptly report any safety concerns. • Disassemble, analyze, and rebuild cryogenic pumps, accessories, and motors. • Operate shop equipment such as drill press, hydraulic press, bench grinder, pipe threading machine, pipe bender, cutting torch, and band saw. • Analyze part conditions to identify damage causes and improve reliability. • Assemble, fit, align, and adjust pump components to close tolerances. • Document clearance data and ensure conformance to specifications and SOPs. • Troubleshoot, rework parts as needed, and contribute to failure analysis. • Maintain tools, equipment, and work area following 5S principles. • Lead or coordinate weekly/monthly safety meetings and shop 5S initiatives. • Provide technical guidance and communicate service evaluations to customers. • Coach and mentor department colleagues without direct supervisory authority.

What You Bring
Candidates must possess strong analytical abilities, the capacity to read and interpret prints and schematics, and a solid understanding of AC/DC circuitry and cryogenic pump components such as regulators, valves, and solenoids. Effective communication, teamwork, and a customer‑focused attitude are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A high‑school diploma or equivalent is required, together with 7–8 years of mechanical experience; prior work with cryogenic pumps or in industrial manufacturing is highly desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and organized, initiative‑driven work habits are also expected. • Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics. • Achieve ≥80% on‑time delivery while adhering to OSHA and company safety policies. • 7–8 years of mechanical experience; high school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to read prints, schematics, and AC/DC circuitry; knowledge of regulators, valves, solenoids, and pressure relief devices. • Strong analytical, inspection, balancing, and problem‑solving skills for cryogenic pump repair. • Proficient with Microsoft Office; organized, initiative‑driven, and team‑oriented.
