About the Role

The Territory Manager is responsible for the sales and promotion of Hubbell Wiring Device‑Kellems products through distribution to end‑users and specifying influences, while achieving assigned sales quotas within a defined territory. The role has a heavy focus on contractor relationships and sales. The territory covers Upstate New York, Western Massachusetts, and Vermont, with a preference for candidates located in the Albany area or Western Massachusetts. In this role the manager conducts sales calls with distributors and end‑users, trains distributor personnel, manages inventory to maintain proper stock levels, and keeps accurate account records in TMS/Electronic TMS. They deliver internal and external sales training, present formal sales presentations to various groups, and communicate with diverse audiences through letters, phone calls, meetings, trade shows, and business‑oriented social functions. Reporting to the District Manager, they address issues, opportunities, and product updates, service distributors and end‑users while generating demand, build strong relationships, and act as a customer information center for literature, catalogs, technical details, drawings, and cross‑reference information. • Conduct sales calls with distributors and end‑users. • Train distributor personnel to sell and promote Hubbell products. • Manage distributor inventory to ensure proper stock levels. • Maintain accurate account records in TMS/Electronic TMS. • Deliver internal and external sales training within the district and region. • Present formal sales presentations to groups, distributors, and end‑users. • Communicate with end‑users via letters, phone, meetings, trade shows, and social functions. • Report issues, opportunities, and product updates to the District Manager. • Service distributors and end‑users while generating product demand. • Build strong relationships with distributors, end‑users, and specifying influences. • Act as a customer information center for literature, catalog, technical detail, drawings, and cross‑reference requests. • Cover assigned open territories as directed by the District Manager.

What You Bring

Success in this position is supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering or a high‑school diploma combined with at least two years of relevant industry sales experience; prior sales or industry experience is preferred. Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneDrive), SAP Concur, and preferably have experience with Salesforce.com. Excellent presentation skills are essential. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering or HS diploma with 2+ years relevant sales experience. • Prior industry sales experience preferred. • Proficient with MS Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneDrive) and SAP Concur. • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred. • Excellent presentation skills.
