Director - Offsite Construction

About the Role

The role is a full‑time traveling assignment within Turner’s Critical Facilities‑Data Centers division, supporting advanced technology projects across data center, pharmaceutical, industrial/manufacturing and EV/battery/renewables market segments, based in Portland, OR. The incumbent will lead the development and execution of an Offsite Construction strategy aligned with corporate goals, partnering with business units, innovation, procurement and corporate development teams to set vision, financial targets and KPIs, and present plans to executive leadership. • Develop and implement Offsite Construction strategic plan aligned with company goals. • Partner with business units, market segments, Innovation, Procurement and Corporate Development to set vision, financial goals, KPIs and resource timelines. • Present strategic plan and resource requests to Executive Leadership and Advisory Committee. • Support business development pursuits by leveraging Offsite Construction capabilities to differentiate Turner and improve project performance. • Design and lead Offsite Construction processes and teams for successful BU‑level implementations. • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with BU leaders, clients, manufacturers and subcontractors. • Foster continuous learning of new technologies with Preconstruction, Innovation Champions and SMEs. • Share Offsite Construction knowledge with project teams to influence design and development. • Develop supply‑chain and vendor‑development strategies supporting Offsite Construction goals. • Lead diverse, high‑performing teams through coaching, mentoring, performance feedback and inclusive culture.

What You Bring

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 15 years of construction experience, deep knowledge of emerging offsite construction technologies, BIM, lean methods, and strong leadership, communication and business‑acumen skills; travel is required. Physical demands include frequent sitting, computer work, occasional lifting up to 25 lb, and regular travel; the work environment varies between office/remote settings and construction sites, with compliance to safety policies. • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 15 years of building construction experience (offsite construction preferred). • Expertise in emerging offsite construction technologies, cost, scheduling, estimating and coordination. • Advanced knowledge of construction processes, trades, materials and installation tolerances. • Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, specifications and schedules. • Proficiency with BIM, lean construction, Microsoft Office and construction management software. • Demonstrated leadership, mentorship and team‑development abilities. • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills. • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills with senior stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple complex projects, adapt to ambiguity and changing demands. • Required travel; physical ability to lift up to 25 lb and perform office/computer tasks.
