About the Role
The engineer will conduct site investigations, oversee contractors, and document remediation system installations. Responsibilities also include reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, preparing permitting and technical deliverables, and supporting the design team with sampling plans and construction documents. Use of engineering software such as CAD, GIS, and data analysis tools is expected, along with assistance to project management on small to moderate projects. • Conduct field investigations (soil, groundwater, surface‑water, sediment, air sampling) and oversee contractors. • Observe and document remediation system installation and operation. • Review shop drawings, submittals, respond to RFIs, and track project schedules. • Prepare permitting documents, remedial action plans, construction completion reports, cost estimates, and constructability reviews. • Develop sampling plans, calculations, and construction design documents under supervision. • Use engineering software (CAD, GIS, data analysis tools) to generate design documents. • Assist project management with administration for small to moderate projects. • Attend meetings, report on tasks, and perform work within budget and schedule.
