About the Role
The Senior Controls Engineer role is pivotal to Automated Logic’s business, focusing on the design and programming of advanced building automation systems (BAS) tailored to individual customer needs, while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Key responsibilities include creating site‑specific control configurations, developing clear design documentation, building graphical interfaces, testing programs prior to deployment, and providing technical support to sales and project teams. • Design and program advanced building automation systems using WebCTRL. • Develop and mentor other Controls Engineers. • Create clear design documentation and communicate system revisions. • Build graphical and text interfaces with Eikon and VieBuilder. • Test programming and interfaces before implementation. • Provide technical support to sales to meet customer needs. • Conduct functional testing for complex building systems. • Advise on design and programming standards, parts, and practices. • Identify project opportunities and risks related to cost, schedule, and technical factors. • Generate timely requests for information (RFIs) and maintain clear communication with managers and project teams. • Follow safety and ethics standards, promoting employee and subcontractor safety.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least 10 years of HVAC, controls, or building automation experience, be willing to travel up to 10%, and possess the physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lb; a bachelor’s degree in engineering or an associate degree with substantial experience is preferred, along with strong proficiency in Automated Logic software and industry communication protocols. • 10+ years HVAC, controls, or building automation experience; high school diploma or GED. • Willingness to travel up to 10% and ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lb. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction with 6+ years experience, or associate degree with 8+ years. • Proficiency with Automated Logic software suites and third‑party protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2). • Experience with Enterprise IP networks, Microsoft Visio, and advanced sequences of operation. • Ability to translate technical information for both technical and non‑technical audiences and guide team members.
