About the Role
The Logistics Controller position is based at the Derby site and supports Large Engine assembly and test. The role operates within a physical logistics environment, working closely with nominated logistics providers to run and continuously improve processes. Key focus areas include material flow design, lineside logistics and applying the Plan For Every Part methodology to generate end‑to‑end supply‑chain value. The role requires adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards and the Zero Harm programme, while maintaining product safety and quality. You will review and optimise material flow, develop outbound Plan for Every Part, manage improvement activities, facilitate cross‑functional collaboration, and build strong relationships with external partners and suppliers. Acting as technical lead for kitting control, you will ensure data integrity and change management, and operate in line with Rolls‑Royce policies and Management System. • Prioritise safety and ensure all logistics processes comply with HSE standards and the Zero Harm programme. • Maintain product quality and safety in accordance with business requirements. • Investigate, follow up and resolve any concerns raised. • Review and optimise material flow design to improve lineside logistics and replenishment, including use of material handling technology and digital solutions. • Develop and implement the outbound Plan for Every Part, including parts presentation and kitting media design/manufacture. • Plan and manage improvement activities covering scheduling, resources, cost, risk and stakeholder communication. • Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross‑functional collaboration with Planning & Control, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement. • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and suppliers to achieve objectives. • Act as technical lead for kitting control, definition, data integrity and change management. • Operate in line with Rolls‑Royce policies, procedures and Management System.

What You Bring
Candidates should have relevant experience with internal logistics processes and systems, a proven record of delivering results in logistics or operations, and experience controlling logistics services in a 3PL environment. Demonstrated process compliance, data integrity and an understanding of various roles, functions and processes are essential. Experience of change management and improvement activities is desirable.
