About the Role

The Instrument Multi‑Craft Technician is tasked with the installation, repair, maintenance, and calibration of electronic equipment and gauges that control, regulate, or monitor mechanical systems within chemical manufacturing processes. Core duties include inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repairing electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments; detecting abnormal process fluctuations; verifying the accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, and other devices; tracing and replacing defective solid‑state components using schematics and maintenance manuals; decontaminating, disassembling, and reassembling instruments; performing SIS calibrations and routine calibration of pH probes, LEL detectors, CO monitors, etc.; fitting and bending tubing, lubricating components, and updating wiring. • Conducts inspection, testing, adjustment, and repair of electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments. • Performs calibration of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, pH probes, LEL detectors, and CO monitors. • Installs, loop‑checks, and reassembles instrumentation and associated tubing. • Documents calibrations, parts used, and updates schematics and reports.

What You Bring

Candidates must bring at least five years of instrumentation experience, be proficient in reading blueprints, and be capable of working on both low‑ and high‑pressure tubing and piping systems. They must possess the appropriate hand tools, handle precision instruments, hold a current TWIC card, and have a valid driver’s license, while adhering to all company and project policies. The role requires extensive physical activity such as prolonged standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lb, as well as working at heights up to 300 ft using ladders, stairways, or elevated platforms with proper fall protection. Work is performed outdoors in varied weather conditions and mandates the use of PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, face shield, ear plugs, and a fall‑arrest harness.
